Calling all early birds, dinner wizards, and the kind of people who actually enjoy a good Tuesday routine: a sweet, close-knit Sneads Ferry family is on the hunt for their next long-term nanny, and this one comes with serious perks.

LOCATION: Sneads Ferry

PAY: $2,600 - $3,000 per month ($20-$24 per hour DOE + $150 flat rate weekly for overnight)

HOURS: 25 Guaranteed Hours per Week + 1 Overnight per week

SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri with overnight day varying during the week

Mornings 3 days per week 5:30am to 8:00am

Afternoons 4 days per week 2:30pm to 6:30pm

The Family

A warm, single mom of two girls — a spirited 7-year-old and an easygoing 5-year-old — who love Barbies, dance parties, art projects, and pretending the living room is a stage. Mom works in the medical field with a rotating schedule, which means real structure during the week and genuinely appreciated flexibility from her nanny. After four years of au pairs, she's ready for a true partner: someone mature, proactive, and a little bit magic in the kitchen.

The Schedule (yes, we know it's part-time hours, but stick with us)

Start Date: Mid-September

4 mornings & 4 afternoons per week with 1 overnight a week Mon-Fri and occasional ability to switch an afternoon shift to Saturday - schedule will be determined months in advance

  • 3 mornings/week, 5:30am–8:00am — get the girls up, fed, and out the door

  • 4 afternoons/week, 2:30pm–6:30pm — school pickup, homework, dinner, wind-down

  • 1 overnight/week (on 4th morning shift, start time moves to 6:30am)

  • 25 guaranteed hours/week + overnight rate

Why This Schedule Actually Works in Your Favor

  • The math is real money: $20–$24/hour plus a flat $150 overnight rate puts weekly pay at $650–$750 — for 25 hours. That's a serious hourly value for split shifts.

  • Built-in midday freedom: With mornings and afternoons separated by several hours, your days have natural breathing room — run errands, pick up a second client, hit the gym, or just enjoy a long lunch before the second shift starts.

  • One overnight, big payoff: The overnight isn't just a bonus check — it's a guest room and private bathroom all your own, plus a guaranteed easy morning after (next day's hours start at 6:30am, not 5:30am).

  • Stability that au pairs can't offer: This family is actively moving away from the revolving-door caregiver model. They want someone to grow with — meaning real consistency, advance notice on schedules (often months out), and a relationship built on trust, not turnover.

  • Your skills get to shine: If you love meal planning and cooking, this is your stage — it's the family's #1 priority and the easiest way to become indispensable.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Morning and bedtime routines, school drop-off/pickup (Family will provide vehicle to drive)

  • Planning and prepping nutritious meals and snacks (cooking is a big deal here!)

  • Homework support and engaging, creative activities

  • Light tidying of kids' spaces, kids' laundry, and keeping play areas organized

  • Occasional family errands and overnight care

What We're Looking For

  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to get certified)

  • Ability to provide 2-3 professional references and pass a background check

  • Experienced with multiple children and brings the creativity to spark little girls’ imaginations

  • Organized, proactive, and doesn't need a task list to stay busy

  • Enjoys cooking and meal prep

  • Open to occasional swimming with the kids

  • Looking for a long-term fit, not a stopgap

  • Able to provide overnight care once a week - day will vary but be Mon-Fri.

  • Doesn’t mind early mornings

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $20 - $24 per hour for awake hours + 1 overnight at $150 per week

  • Total monthly pay $2,600 - $3,000

  • 5 paid days off annually

  • Time and a half pay for occasional major holidays that are needed

  • Paid major holidays off when nanny is not needed

If you're the kind of person who finds joy in a well-stocked pantry, can make a 7-year-old laugh while still holding the line on bedtime, and wants a part-time schedule with full-time stability — we'd love to meet you.
