Location: Masonboro Area of Wilmington
Pay: $20/hr
Hours: 15 hours per week
Schedule: Mon-Fri with 3 hour shifts each day (nanny can choose the hours that work with their schedule)
Start Date: ASAP through Wed., Aug 26th
Family Overview:
A sweet little family of three newly planted in the Wilmington area is looking for someone special to join their village this summer. With a fresh-faced four-month-old at home and two hardworking parents back on the clock, they need a calm, attentive caregiver who can step in and give the baby the love and focus she deserves — while giving this dual mom household the breathing room they need to get things done.
This is a short-term summer role, running through late August when the baby transitions to daycare. It's the perfect fit for a teacher on summer break, a college student with a heart for babies, or a nanny looking to fill their schedule with something meaningful (and adorable).
What Your Day Will Include:
This family isn't looking for a checklist — they're looking for a person. Someone who can walk through the door, pick up a fussy baby, and just... handle it. Attentiveness and a calm demeanor are the two key attributes here.
Day-to-day, the nanny can expect to:
Provide warm, responsive care for a four-month-old, including feeding, diapering, and following the family's nap schedule
Engage baby with age-appropriate activities that support her development
Keep baby's space tidy and organized
Handle baby's laundry and light tidying of shared spaces used during the shift
Occasionally run simple household errands as needed
The Schedule:
Monday through Friday, three hours per day — for example, 9am to 12pm or 12pm to 3pm. The family is flexible on exact timing and happy to work around the right candidate's availability. Consistent scheduling is preferred; just no same-day surprises.
You’ll also be paid for the entire time on any days you’re let go early.
Requirements:
Infant care experience (this baby is only four months old — comfort with that age group is a must)
CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to get there
Reliable, proactive, and genuinely good with babies
Flexible and calm under pressure — babies don't read the schedule either
Able to carry 30+ pounds and navigate stairs comfortably
Provide 2-3 professional childcare related references & ability to pass a background check
This family describes themselves as super laid back, and they mean it. They don't have a laundry list of preferences — they just want someone genuine, caring, and good with their girl.
Compensation & Perks:
$20 per hour
