Temp Part-Time Baby Nanny & Family Lifesaver

Temporary 6 Month Position

Location: Downtown Wilmington

Start Date: Monday, March 2, 2026 

Hours: Mon-Fri 10am - 2pm, 20 hours per week 

Pay: $20-$24 per hour

If you love babies, enjoy making a difference in a family’s life, this downtown Wilmington family of 3 is eager to meet you! Parents are loving professionals needing support starting March 2nd for 6 months, between maternity leave ending and daycare starting.  

You’ll have consistent hours caring for only one baby while having the opportunity to build your nanny resume and gain a reputable agency reference, along with support in finding your next placement once this one ends.

 Duties Include:

• Provide attentive and loving care for newborn baby girl.

• Maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring that play areas and baby's belongings are tidy.

• Assist with bottle prep, feeding, and basic hygiene routines.

• Communicate effectively with parents regarding the baby’s daily activities, behavior, and any concerns.

• Ensure the safety of children at all times by supervising their activities both indoors and outdoors.

• Administer medication as needed upon request.

• General tidying and sanitizing of baby’s areas and items.

Schedule

First right of refusal for optional weekend date-night care

 Requirements

• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified

• Willing to undergo and pass a background check and drug test

• Provide 2 to 3 professional references

• Infant care experience

• Able to walk up and down stairs carrying 30+ pounds, active and energetic

• Safety conscious and hands on

• Proactive and able to take initiative 

• Reliable and willing to care for sick child

• Open and communicative with parents 

• Flexible and calm under pressure

Compensation & Perks

• Pay: $18–$22 DOE per hour for 20 hours/week
